I'm at work right now but I'll be off for this. I haven't gotten to make any dives with y'all but I'd like too.
Count me in.

Saturday morning?  That's fine.

Now, are you going to be diving with me or Gordon?  Are you doing training dives or pleasure dives?  I need to know, that way I can see if Vic wants to pair up and leave you with Gordon Smiley  I don't know what Vic's plans are yet but I'm hoping he plans on diving with us.  Or me if you plan to ditch me for Gordon.

I'm planning on diving with you guys, and I'm going to need a dive buddy. A 4:30 departure don't scare me none. Let me know where ya'll plan to meet up. Have you guys reserved rooms yet, if so, where.  I'm planning to where my 3 mil on top of my 1 mil. Do you think that will make things tolerable. Can we rent tanks at ABWA. Wow, that's a lot of questions, I'll shut up now.

You should be ok above the thermocline with your 2 wetsuits.  It'll be chilly below the first one, probably around 30'.  They do rent tanks there, as well as 5mm wetsuits if you want to go deeper.

I plan to head over there Friday night from Oxford.  A buddy from work will probably be coming with me.

Vic:  A list of what they rent and prices is available at their website. http://www.divealabama.com

Good. There will be plenty of dive buddies for you to team up with. No worries on that.

As close to 4:30 will be great for me. Where would you like to meet up at on 20? You would have to be up earlier than what we will have to get up. Right now, that will be fine for the water temps there. The thermocline WILL be noticeable, bit I think I'd be aright with it.

ABWA does have tanks to rent. I think steel tanks. Not sure the exact size.

Ask all the questions you want, we'll try to answer them. Smiley

I haven't booked anything yet.  I've been out of town for the last week for work. I was going to check that my buddy could still come when i get to work on Tuesday then book something.  I'll probably stay at the holiday inn express.  I think they are about $89. I collect points there and that's where i usually stay when traveling for work.

I'll see what kid of prices I can get/find over there too tomorrow and book as well.

If your buddy doesn't go, would you be interested in splitting your room? I figure Frank, Vic or myself could room with you and everyone only pays half price.

Let me know,

Michael

I'm pretty sure he plans to go, but if he backs out I'd be fine spliting a room with someone.

You guys are in Brandon, right.  How about 4:30 at the McDonalds there on Crossgate Blvd. next to Applebees. Thanks for all the answers, I got a little excited I guess. Holiday Inn Express sounds good to me, I think I'll go ahead and get a room booked tomorrow. If someone want to lay claim to half of it, just let me know. I can also carry 1 or 2 more folks if someone wants to ride.

Anthony,  last September when I was there it was warm near the surface, in the 60's below 30 ft, and in the 50's below about 70ft if i remember correctly.  120+ ft without a hood is pretty damn cold.  I think they rent hoods for $3 a day.

Look for big fat one-armed dewd running around in a one-armed dry suit and his fat little side kick (Frank). Smiley
