Wasup all!! We made another trip out in the gulf on the 3rd of July, Was good and warm Smiley Waves were around 3-4 forcasted 1-2's of course... Well the visibility on surface down to 30' or so, was great. Below the thermocline which was cold as hell Smiley went from 85 deg to 68 deg, was crapy, Maybe 10-12 ft. We did manage to get a few good snappers with spears in em though, lol. There were 7 of us in da boat, just 2 divers. Didnt catch crape on the rods just the spears....Here are some pics.

we had the same luck on july 2nd.  first rig had great visibility (30-40ft) and super cold thermocline.  missed a 20lb snapper there cause my cable got tangled on the gun but managed a few nice ones.  not bad for a couple of whipper snappers.  we only snapped a few pics
