Hello folks,

My wife, a colleague and myself are getting our Open Water Certification, and I was looking for other divers in our area.  Looks like I've found some!  Our goal is to get into some spearfishing, but we don't really have a clue where or how to start.  Personally, I am planning to get a few OW dives under my belt before taking on a rig dive, unless there are some folks we meet that can guide/mentor us.

Welcome to the board.  I've not done any spearfishing, but a number of board members down your way have.  I'm sure they'd be glad to give you some pointers. We're glad to have you here.

Welcome to the board, Brandon and wife!

There are quite a few people that live around you that go spearing on the rigs and are active majority of the year, I'm sure you won't have a hard time finding someone here to go out with you.
