« on: March 04, 2009, 05:21:11 PM »
I still havent made my first post cert dive, I have equipment just sitting there, and Im going nuts reading other peoples reports.

I figures I might like vortex/morrisons or something.

I get free form work in April, thought about going. Would love to go with someone experienced.

Adam, we'll crank up classes at ABWA around that time.  You're welcome to go with us anytime.  Even with the classes, we still have time to just dive while we're there.  I usually post the trips on here when they are scheduled.

That could be a good birthday present for me...my girlfriend is getting certified in may, and my brother's class should be making their dives at the end of this month! If you would like to join up with USM, MUD, or just tag along with me and my buddies you are more than welcome! We usually do 3 dives here in Hattiesburg...then 2 check out dives at Vortex - spend the night (camp) then make our way down to Scuba Tech in Destin, where we meet up with Nancy and the "Sea Cobra" to do 2 boat dives!

Sounds great, where do people leave from? I was wondering for possible carpooling.

What would I need to bring?

Vortex: you are looking around $30.00 + food and gas....

Destin: We usually go to the "Miss Louise" , the barge, or the bridge rubble....looking around $80.00 for a 4 hour trip.

I'll get more details by this weekend everybody!

I was just Vortex last weekend. Had a good time. First day was crouded and the vis was poor, to many people in the hole. Secound Day was great. Morrison was said to be not worth the time cause of bad vis. I don't know first hand thats just what other divers told me. Would love to hook up and go diving. I work offshore so I'm gone 2 weeks at a time.

NO kidding, Tommy and I were at Vortex this weekend as well...I have never seen vis like it was Saturday there, but Sunday was great!!! What a small world...
I am too blessed to be stressed and too anointed to be disappointed!!
