on line dive log
« on: November 20, 2008, 12:54:23 AM »
i was looking for some dive log software that i could download and i came across this site and i thought i would share with you all.  you can log your dives online that way if you are on a trip you and have internet access you can look at your past dives just from a click of the mouse (or two)
http://www.mydivebook.com/  and then click on the free online dive logs area -- you will have to register of course

it looks pretty cool -- check it out guys and see what you think

otherwise -- anyone have a good program for keeping track of dives -- i get tired of writing them out.  i am quicker on the computer

cheers

I use SmartTrak by UWATEC. It allows me to automatically download information from my UWATEC dive computer into my PC. If you go to www.scubapro.com and go to the UWATEC section, they have a download for the software. I believe that even if your not using an UWATEC to download dives, you can manually type in information to log dives. It's a pretty neat program that records LOTS of information about a dive and can give you overall statistics of all your recorded dives. The download is free, so you won't lose anything trying it out.

  • Most problems in diving originate with ourselves.

yeah what Bob said.

Aeris also has software you can download. You don't HAVE to have an Aeris computer, you can always manually put your dive info in.

You can download it here

Tommy and I use Oceanic dive computers...his is the datamask and I have the wrist version...they both come with software that allows you to automatically transfer dives to your home computer.

not only is this site for logging dives, it also gives dive site reviews, a buddy database, but it also allows you to add photos to an album -- and it is good for those who do not have a dive computer to use -- this way they can log dives instead of writing them out by hand

its a pretty cool site
