I talked to the DRI rep at DEMA and Ridgeland is hosting a 6 class series starting in June. From my understanding, DRI is sending their own instructor. The cost is per class and it is paid for through DRI. They said they could probably make a deal if you wanted to take all 6 classes, but I don't think many people will. The classes in order will be: Dive Rescue I, Dive Rescue II, Med Dive, Public Safety Scuba Instructor, Dive Rescue I Trainer and then Dry Suit Diving Trainer. I think they are also doing on other class, but it's not on the sheet I have. I am not sure what the requirements are for entry into the class, but you probably have to be sponsored by someone in public safety. Augh hell, I just decided to read the flyer Matt. That explains it, if you aren't public safety, you aren't getting in the class. Sorry. The same goes for the agency I teach for, PSDA. You have to be in public safety to get into the class. If some of you all want the blackwater training, I can hook you up with some training, you just won't get a card.
