A GAS-ENGINED underwater scooter???

I'm assuming the tank on top is for gas and possibly bouyancy and the upright tubes are snorkels to deliver air to the engine. Can you imagine the maintenance issues with this thing? :o
But hey, it's priced pretty cheap!

That certainly is interesting. i found the web site for the scooter here

it looks like you are limited to the depth of the snorkel, but you only need one.  I think he put a spare snorkel on in place of the gas cap.

I can't imagine the upkeep of that exposed engine to salt-water. Dive gear maintanence is enough of a pain-in-the-butt.

I can imagine saltwater going down the snorkel and into the cylinder.   That would be horrible.

how do you make sure you don't sink the snorkel below the surface??

I can't tell you how many times I accidently sucked water through my snorkel!!
