Does anyone know?

Of any other one-arm people that scuba dive? (Frank, besides me!)

I'm curious as to how their setups are with their equipment. I'm trying to see if there is a way to make things a little easier for myself so maybe I can get a more extended bottom time out of a tank and so that Frank can use all of his. :)

If you know of some, please ask then to join up here (don't have to be from MS) and/or e-mail me.

Thanks,

Michael

Out of curiosity how does having one arm affect bottom time?

I didn't really mean, that having one-arm would cause my bottom time to be worse. I was mainly looking to see how others set their equipment up to make it easier for them. Like I moved my SPG to the right side instead of the left. It makes it easier to grab it and look at it. When it was on my left side, it was harder to grab it and most of the time it unclipped from my BC, So I had to waste a minute or so trying to reclip it. Just little things like that.

A few things that might be worth trying.  Routing your SPG over your left shoulder bungied to your inflator hose.  Easy to read by just looking down or easily reachable right handed, no clips.  Another option, albeit much more expensive, is a remote air integrated wrist mount computer such as the Suunto D9.  Getting married and having to clear financing with the better half could be prohibitive though;).  Of course there always the "But it'll make diving much safer honey" approach but I wouldn't recommend it.

Well, I've noticed that setup with SBM on ScubaBoard. He does that exact samething. I've already talked to the boss lady and she agrees that a wireless unit would be better for me. So, unknown to her, I have a VT3 half paid for. :) It will be one less hose and I will have it on retractor on my chest strap harness. Out of the way and easily accessible.

Now I just need to figure out how and when I need to tell her abou the VT3.

Thanks,

Michael
