Review: MiFlex 7' Primary Hose
« on: August 26, 2008, 01:55:59 PM »
Haven't been able to dive this hose yet, but I will give you my initial observation.

The hose comes in a 'water tight' plastic bag which has a velcro seal.  Would be great to store a cell phone in, but would not be for submersion, IMO.  After pulling the hose from it's pouch, it quickly uncoiled and the opposite end hit the floor.  This baby is FLEXIBLE!

I've seen people take this hose and tie it in a knot, with pressure in the hose and it not degrade the flow at all.  It coils into a small ball and can easily be stored in a small bag, something that is to be desired with a standard rubber hose.

The reasoning for me going to this hose, is to try and eliminate the hose tug on my 2nd stage while diving.  I had the option to go to a 360 degree swivel or a miflex hose.  For the same money, I chose the MiFlex.  I may still need a 360 swivel, but having the flexibility at my fingertips with this new style hose, I'm doubting I'll need a swivel at all.

Once I dive this baby, I will be sure to post again to fill you in on my dive experience with it.

Thanks for reading!  :)
