Close dives?

 I'm going to be signing up for my open water cert tomorrow. I will be getting it at Down Under Dive Shop in Gulf Shores. I'm getting it there because I have a place I can stay there and I will be getting everything done there with out having to worry about schedule a dive trip and going to some where in Florida just for my cert dives. I have two questions. 1. Is there any good places to go diving in Mississippi?(Any lakes also?) 2. Does anyone have any experience with Down Under Dive Shop? Was it good or bad? Thanks a lot.

Hey Mike, welcome to the board!

Unfortunately, there are few if any dive locations within the state.  But the rigs off our coast are fun to dive.  A friend of mine named Brad (scubarealtor) has dove with Dive Under and enjoyed the trip.  Other than that, I haven't heard much about them.  I do plan to take a trip out with them for our MSscuba dive trip.

Hey Mike, I got cert. with Bryan and the bunch at Down Under. They are a great group.
