Most problems in diving originate with ourselves.

There was one here on the coast from 1999 to about 2003 called South Mississippi Aquanauts. For the first few years, we were a pretty active club with monthly meetings, a newsletter, fairly regular dive trips, and about 20 members. We even had our own t-shirts. Then it started to fizzle until finally it was just me and one other guy showing up for the meetings.

The whole point of MSscuba was to act as a dive club, but it's not a 'local' DC obviously.

Yes, and ty frank and bob. I was just looking for another place to meet local divers. I know alot of divers have husbands are wifes that they dive with. I'm happily single and my limitations to diving are usually how well I do at finding someone with the time off work to dive. I've dove with charters that sometimes have other divers without a partner but that is kind of luck as sometimes there isn't anyone. Anyone want to go diving?

I know exactly what you're talking about. I dive but my wife doesn't. I like the charters as well, but going by yourself you never know what you're going to get in the way of a dive buddy. I have no problem with driving to Gulf shores or Pensacola etc on Friday afternoon to dive Saturday and /or Sunday. Give me a call sometime.
