new biloxi diver

hey ya'll new to diving and this site.....i finally got tired of sittin at home al the time and being a loser so got certified in april....now i have the certification and all kinds of equipment and no one to dive with because my friends wont stop being losers....so anyone up for going diving give me a holla im game pretty much anytime!!!

Matt (mcc2318) and I are here in Biloxi also. Daniel (dragon26) is in Vancleave. Robert (hoobascooba) is in Pascagoula. DeWayne (degray) is in Waveland. There is usually one or more of us ready to dive somewhere. In fact, I'm tossing around the idea of going next weekend, the 21st (got other commitments this weekend).
 
What shop did you certify through? Sports Unlimited ,The Dive Shop, or Round Island?

i would love to do so but im just headed back home to South Dakota for 2 weeks ill be back on the 26th....gonna do a couple cold water dives while im up here...but seriously anytime after that i am up for it....i got certified through dolphin scuba....hes a retired military guy named robert that works outta Eglin AFB, fl(destin)...hes REALLY cheap so if there is any military people out there looking to get certified hes the way to go...or if anyone else sucks up a whole bunch i could probably hook you up

Where are you in SD? I was born in Belle Fourche. Not sure of any diving spots around there. ;)

sweet...i was born and raised in Pierre...theres lake oahe there which has a couple old tug boats that are suppose to be ok...i guess i will let you know tommorrow...and then the oahe dam has a pretty good drift dive thats good for spearfishing walleye

Very cool. I used to live in Fort Pierre.. right next to the horse race track. (the same road you had to get to it... about 5 houses away.) I was only about 8 or so but, I remember that big hill up the road where they had that horse race down that huge hill and had to cross the river. :)

sweet....got 8 dives in this weekend at the tailrace if you remeber where that is...right up by the oahe dam powerhouse...they werent running very much water so it was a lot of swimming...bout shot 8 walleye that im gonna cook up tonight

I remember, it's North above Pierre, right? I never went swimming there cause I was afraid of thew Northern Pike. hahah My step-dad at that time told me about how "vicious" they were. :(
