First off, Bob you didn't miss out on so much so don't kick yourself over it! Daniel and myself met up and headed over to vortex springs last sunday. The visibilty was decent not the best due to the rain but there was only one class of students from mbt divers. We preformed two dives; on the firstdive we figured we would do what ever other diver does at least once and that was feed the fish. Important note, do NOT "pop" a can of vienna sauages at the mouth of the cavern! As Daniel can atest for there were eels out there that you could compare to the moray andfor a few moments I had to remind myself that I WAS in fresh water! While daniel was spraying easy cheese, I was playing with a small eel that was very curious about my dive light that was attached to my BCD, as he scurred off to gobble down some easy cheese I felt the nose of a much larger eel about three long rubbing on my gloves and not a moment before I even though of reaching for my camera I had a rare opportunity to see how large their jaws can extend, apartly I could smell the resedue of the Vienna sausages. After shouting a few select word through my regulator and shaking off the very "friendly," Daniel gives signals to me if I was ok and after seeing I had all my fingers intact we decided it was time to explore other portions of vortex springs. After a safety stop and BBQ sandwich that are well worth the five dollar charge, we suited up for our second and last dive. As we were suiting up another diver asked if he could go down with us, he was down from massachuits for a family members birthday and wanted to long in a dive or two but lacked a buddy. He mentioned the he was wanting to take a look in the caverns and that he was full cave certified so we decided to let him tag along. It was a good second dive went to the gate and explore the piano room followed the 1\3 room. And pulled out at 2000 psi, took abunch of pictures on our safety stop, and while floating back to the steps we found out the this gentleman who's name was Bob,which we thought was ironic still had 1800psi after the safety stop and wasn't skip breathing! I hate people like that!
