So we got a late start, around 12:00pm. The seas as we were leaving were decent, 1-2 footers. Once we passed the islands, she started to pick up. By the time we made it about 10 miles past triple rigs, we were in 4-6 footers, but they had a 8-10 second roll. Perfect for people with a weak stomach

This was our first dive of the season and the first time the boat had been in the water for quite some time. We found out real quick that the tach wasn't working nor was the speedo. Also, the trim tabs have had leak that we found so we were riding sideways the entire trip. Yeah, not a good way to start the season.
We weren't sure how cold the water really was until we dropped into it with 3mm suits on. The 3 divers that were diving were myself, Brad, and John. Brad was good to go after he blew chunks.. but that's another discussion. I hit the water and was fine for the dive after I caught my breath. John, hit the water without a hood and in a 3mm suit, he didn't make the dive, he was instantly cold.
Brad and myself dropped down to about 30', the thermocline was at about 15', right below that the viz opened up quite nicely. I'd say we had 30-40' depending on depth. We hit a max depth of 70' and stayed down 20-25 minutes before Brad started to get cold, I have a lot of natural insulation so I'm less likely to get cold

This rig was COVERED with fish, off the top of my head, I know there were spade, snapper, and one large gag grouper.
