First off, let me tell you that Daniel aka Dragon, is probably the worse dive buddy that you could find. Not only did he go into the caverns, he pulled out a pair of bolt cutters, and ripped the door off of the "cave" and left me there to go explore! After entailing my yoke valve in a piece of rope he just watched me self rescue myself! NAH I"M JUST KIDDING Daniel and myself had a great time in vortex. We met up at 7:30 that morning loaded up my 4 runner and headed out. We got there at 10:50 and the place was packed with students, particular because the weather had canceled most of the dive boats. Ironicaly our OW Intrustor was there, so we used there pinic table as a spot to leave our gear during surface intervals. Which anyone that has dove vortex on a saturday knows is a hard thing to come by. We found out that due to Flordia Tax laws, and that vortex has a new cascade system, they are no longer giving you a free air card with your entry fee. Also it takes a couple more minutes than usual for them to fill a tank but as one of there instructors said this new cascade system doesn;t rip you off when it comes to getting exactly 3000 psi. A warning about my dive buddy though DONT LET ME PLAY WITH THE EELS, ask Daniel about his video. We mostly hung around the chemey and the cavern enterance on all three dives, because that was the only spott that we could find that wasn't full of students. This trip brought some great photos that danile or myself will post later. This was truely a GREAT dive trip.
