Ok ladies and gentlemen. As I keep saying, the dive season is right around the corner and we're wanting to spark up a dive club this year since so many folks have boats and are willing to let people tag along for gas $$ etc. Right now, we're not going to charge a membership fee, we'll just rely on donations... but, to cover our butts and the boat owners, I've worked up a liability release form and hope that if anyone that wants to go out on someone elses boat or on a trip that's scheduled by a MSscuba member would have no problem signing it. Here's the link: Liability Release FormIt simply says, that MSscuba isn't liable, nor is the boat owner, of you getting hurt while diving, you will agree that you know diving is dangerous and sh$% happens! I'm sure you guys understand, especially with all of the suing people in this world these days!

my insurance agent didn't say my life insurance won't pay if i die diving, i wonder if they would come up with some fine print if frank stabs me when he sees a shark.

I think it's sad that I even had to make this form, but I'm not going to lose my house because someone gets bent and their family wants me to pay their medical bills.
I'm sure someone that brings others on their boat wouldn't want that hanging over their head either!

Frank, I need a name and address as quick as possible to include them on my insurance, but I'm defiantly in. Plus, what do we do with the form once we've printed it and signed it?

I'll be doing a new specialty on each of our outings, as long as I have the instructor rating, which will increase as soon as I have 25 certs out of the way. The deal will remain the same on each trip, except if there are books required, which I'll let you know. Other than the fees for certs and books, the rest goes to MSSCUBA!!! (This offer is only for the specified MSSCUBA trip stated specialty. All other courses are at the normal pricing, of which a discount for MSSCUBA members will be applied. You must be a registered MSSCUBA member to receive these offers)

That's great that you are doing this. What trips are there? I'm interested in buoyancy class and the dives themselves.

Just make sure we schedule far enough ahead of time that I can schedule it and make it. I already have a class of 6 starting tomorrow night and a EFR class of 12 on the 22nd of March. I want to do this as this site has been good to me, lots of great folks, and help out with the cost associated with maintaining a web site. Plus, I just want to go diving!!!!! I'll donate my time, try to get alittle to help with the cost of the site, and we'll have fun doing it!

Frank, I need a name and address as quick as possible to include them on my insurance, but I'm defiantly in. Plus, what do we do with the form once we've printed it and signed it? I'll PM you. I'll be doing a MSSCUBA Peak Performance Buoyancy specialty class on our first trip. Except for the cert fees of $30, all proceeds will go to MSSCUBA.com $60 for the specialty course including the cert! So, the $30 goes to support our favorite scuba website. In appreciation of all Frank has done for us. This course can be used as part of your PADI Master Scuba Diver Rating! WOW Don! That's VERY generous of you! I'll for sure signup for specialty classes from you! Count me in on our next trip!
