How to cure allergy symptoms.
« on: October 02, 2007, 09:31:28 PM »
After talking to some co-workers today at lunch about how bad my allergies are, they told me that they had all had bad allergies in the past too, until they found something that eliminates all allergies within a couple of months.

As strange as this might sound, they all take 1 tablespoon of local honey every morning.  Apparently the bees gather up all of the allergens in the area and use them to make their honey, or they just get stuck in the honey from wind blowing or something.

One guy said he had symptoms for 2 years before he took his friends advice and started taking the honey daily.  He said that after 2 months his symptoms went away and he no longer has to take any pills.

This all sounds crazy to me, but, there just so happens to be a bee farmer here in my city, so I'm going to buy a gallon of honey and start taking it.  Hopefully it will work and I can stop taking these headache pills... yeah, they give me a headache!

Just thought I would share this with everyone on the board!

It's not so crazy.  Honey has a lot of curative properties.  I've heard the same thing.  I've never tried it because my allergies have never been so bad that I have to take anything for them.  Let us know how your experiment goes.

I've been taking a tablespoon for 3 days now.  At the 14 day mark I'm going to stop taking my allergy meds to see if my symptoms are still there.

I have a good friend who mixes honey, apple cider vineger and water and drinks it every day. Swears it will cure anything and everything. He's in his seventies.

I bet 100.00 that you are talking about my brother-in-law.

HONEY OR HONEYCOMB FOR ALLERGIES
Honeycomb is an old Vermont remedy for allergies. When honeycomb is chewed regularly during allergy season, it completely alleviates allergies.

Recipe: Chew a piece of honeycomb as long as possible as though it were a piece of gum. Within 30 minutes of chewing honeycomb, symptoms like a stuffy nose and headache disappear. Start chewing honeycomb a week or two before allergy season starts and you may not get any allergies. The honeycomb should be from a local bee farm so your best luck in finding a local variety is probably at your farmer's market. If you can't find honeycomb, try combed honey. Plain honey apparently works as well: dosage is 2 TBLS at each meal, three times a day.
