Free Dive Sites in Florida?
« on: September 11, 2007, 08:07:38 AM »
I'm looking for some free dive sites in the Florida Panhandle around Panama City. I was down a couple months ago and we dove the Bridge Span, the Strength and the St Andrews Jettis ($5 might as well be free). I really enjoyed the Jettis and I'm looking into the Whiskey Wreck.

Any more suggestions? We plan on heading down there as soon as we get some spots picked.

Those are more than I know about.  I'll be at the jetties this weekend to check it out for the first time.  I've heard of the bridge span and Whiskey Wreck, but not the Strength.  Where's the bridge span and the Strength?  If you're interested in driving a little farther away from PC, there's always Morrison and a few other springs that are canoe accessible.

we dove the bridge span and the Strength using Dive Locker. They were somewhere off the coast of Panama. I really enjoyed the Strength. Wouldn't mind doing that one again.

I thought about hitting Morrison Springs on the way back home Sunday. Do you have to have a canoe for it?
