So you guys who voted for Nov 3/4, would you be interested in going down to Morrison Springs and for $125 each taking Cavern Certification? :)

What's the water temp like in Pensacola in Oct - Nov?

I got a 5mm suit and hood.

5mm should be plenty unless your cold natured.  5mm is generally what is worn at the springs in the summer, 7mm in the winter, as the water at about 65 feet in springs usually hit mid 40's to 50.

Yep...it will!  Did you ever get in touch with Keith?

Kieth and I dove together for a single dive Saturday. He is now going to AOW once he gets his card. His wife and son did their check out dives for OW.

I think we can get a good idea of some nice beach dives from Michael.  He recently dove in that area.  He will have to chime in here and give us a game plan.  I think beach dives is the best plan to keep the costs to a bare minimum so we can get as many people to attend.  Morrison Springs.............Cave Cert.????  I probably should do AOW cert. first?  Temps in November?........hopefully not too cold.......all I have is a 3mm full suit......do I need more?

Well we both have done the same beach dives down there, we have Pensacola Pier, Navarro Beach Pier, Whiskey Wreck, and a few other spots that I can't think of right now.

Morrison has a cavern, I dove it when I was just OW.  It's a huge room, one way in one way out, no turns, so you always see sunlight.  Not sure on the temps for these dives in November, I'll look back at my dive logs and post the temps.

Yeah, the Friday night departure sounds like a winner!

A night dive on the Whiskey is a must, just ask Michael! :)  I need to remember to pack your new dive light ;D

If you guys are wanting to dive Morrison, it might be a good idea to go ahead and drive over to Vortex and camp or get rooms.  If anyone is interested we could dive Vortex too, its $19 a head now.
