MS Scuba Board Trip...
« on: August 28, 2007, 10:34:20 AM »
Start Saturday Nov. 3rd morning off with two dives at the Whiskey Wreck. Why? Why not? It's a good, easy dive. It'll help us get everything straight with our gear and what not. (I need to reconfigure weight for an exposure suit.)

*eat early lunch*

After these two dives, I recommend that we head to Pensacola Beach. This too is an awesome site for wildlife. Puffers to little tropicals. I know there was a 3-4' Cuda there (Your friend Frank.), a turtle and on a night dive, a 5+ foot wide ray (Not sure what kind.)

*or late lunch*

After Pensacola Beach, the drive (SI) to Navarre Beach. I've dove this site twice an never really had a chance to see it. My first time I was a noobie.. ask Mat (SuprBugMan) and Bill (SeaYoda). I ran out of air before I got to the end of the pier. The second time, I had to follow someone so they didn't have to dive solo.

*go eat dinner*

Plan for a dive at the Pensacola Beach. Why here for the night dive. Well, if you don't know, you gotta dive to find out. It's AWESOME. Plus, at night, hopefully that 5'+ ray will be there along with the turtle. MANDATORY, lights off on the way back to the beach.

I'm open for anything else if someone has a site they really want to go to instead.

Sunday Nov. 4th? Depending on where we are staying... Pensacola area? Early dive at the beach. Then a drive to Morrisons for a couple rinse off dives.

Comments? Suggestions? Opinions?

Michael

November for myself.

August 31st through Sept 3rd, I'll be in Fort Morgan (Gulf Shores/Orange Beach) area. That's my September diving time.

October, I'll be diving the Oriskany. That's my October diving.

So that leaves sometime in November for a dive.

(MMMV but, I might get a few extra bucks and head off on a trip. I'm sure I could be flexible. Just hope the wife is. :P)

I voted for Nov 3&4, gives ample time to save $$ and it far enough in advance that I should be able to cancel anything that may be taking place that weekend.

If the price of charters is an issue for anyone, maybe we could set the trip up for just shore dives.... ???

Good luck getting an answer.  It seems that since I pointed people to Scubatoys, they haven't been coming here  :BangHead:
