Bay Springs?
« on: August 21, 2007, 09:03:46 PM »
Anyone ever dive there? I use to go all the time and would take goggles, i seem to remember being able to see stuff. Thought about hitting it this Saturday around noon and trying out my DIY dive flag buoy.

i dove there about 3 years ago and i don't remember to viz being good at all.  we went into a cove at first and had about 2 feet viz then over to the beach area thinking the sand over there would maybe reflect some light back up and i think we had maybe 2-3 viz

good luck

Go to Google - Click on Maps at the top. Type in 'Bay Springs Lock MS'

It's just North of Tupelo.

well, just got back. Vis was about 5'. Not as good as I was hoping, but definately would go back. I have a light on it's way and maybe this will help out some. Not a whole lot too see, but I didn't cover much ground. Looking forward to going back and diving deeper.
