Cozumel Aug. 23 thru Aug 30.

Now that Dean took a louie towards Belize my trip to Cozumel is back on. The airlines and the resort had both told me that I could reschedule if I wanted to, but since I haven't been diving in over a year I simply couldn't reschedule an already paid for vacation in paradise...

I'm taking a lifelong buddy along with me to Cozumel Palace resort and we're diving with ScubaTony. I've been to Cozumel numerous times but this will be my friend's first trip to Mexico and his first dive experience as he just got certified a month ago in anticipation of this trip. I was certified in Cozumel last year so we are really both newbies to the sport.

I will post a trip report when I return. I will also copy my trip report from Cozumel last year now that I have found this board so that others can see what it was like to get certified on Cozumel.

If anyone on this board will be on Cozumel during my trip then come to Cozumel Palace and the drinks will be on me...

I've heard good things about ScubaTonys. I used BlueXtSea when I stopped there on a cruise ship. My wife and I just had a child (8 weeks tomorrow) and once he gets old enough to travel, I think we are going to take a week off and head to Cozumel. Hotel Cozumel is the place we are looking at staying.

It is very hard to beat the ease of drift diving. I love it. Take many pictures and share with us when you return. Even surface pictures are appreciated.
