I am thinking about going to the Keys in October for about 8 days.  Fly down to Fort Lauderdale and dive a day to two there, then on down to Key Largo and dive the Atlantic and the Gulf.  Work my way on down to Key West and dive the Grove.  Then work my way back up to Fort Lauderdale for the flight home.  Right now I have my buddy interested in going.  If we were to book enough folks, we could probably get some decent rates.  Right now as Frank knows, we can fly for $49 + tax one way to Fort Lauderdale.  If anyone is interested, Let me know and I'll see what kind of rates on car rental, rooms and charters I can get us.  We have to book the flight by the 27th.  We are really open on dates until the 10th of December.

I'm sure I could go along with a few of those 8 days, wouldn't be able to do the whole 8 =(

I'll have to see how $$ is looking and what the wife would think about it.  I'll keep you posted =)

Don,

What days in October? I'm getting married on the 14th. Just today, my fiance` said I can longer dive until after the wedding. I am getting an ear infection (again) in my right ear. That's why she said no more diving. She doesn't want me sick or anything on the wedding date. She said after the wedding, do whatever I want. :)

So, I'd be game if it's after that and I can afford it. :) (Prolly only a few days like Frank stated for himself.)

try and talk your new wife into getting certified before the wedding, and that will give you a chance to dive more, and also can maybe get some diving in on your honeymoon, and congrats on getting married soon,i just finally talked my wife into she will finish up her open water on this coming up weekend.

As much as I'd love for that to happen, I doubt it will. At least for awhile. She loves to snorkel, but doesn't care to go below. (I think it maybe due to the fact her father died while boating and his friend fell off the boat, become stuck. He dived in many times to try to save him and doing so, they think he was stuck under something and died.)

So maybe later on she will see how safe it can be and decide to. I'll let her tell me when she is ready.
