Tank Fills in Tupelo
« on: August 03, 2007, 11:09:01 AM »
First of all ... DO NOT GO TO TUPELO FIRE EQUIPMENT ! Tanks fills are $23 + tax !

But I called a place right down the road called eFire that fills fire extinguishers and such. He said $4-5 for a fill. I was relieved.

I'm not sure if I'd let a fire department fill my tanks.

it's not a fire department. They're not allowed to fill tanks for citizens because of liability issues.

$23?  Sounds like they want you to pay for their compressor :P

Fire Dept air has to be tested more often than dive shop air.  I have filled hundreds of bottles at my old fire dept and other fire departments and continue filling them on our mobile compressor and cascede system that was $80k. Our air is proablably drier and cleaner than most dive shops plus most fire depts have dive teams that have to have their tanks filled.
