Sweet, where are you wanting to go?  We have about 4 divers in our little group ATM.

What kind of boat do you have?

Thanks for stopping in, we're just getting this puppy off the ground Smiley

Hey Criag,

Welcome to MSscuba. Glad you found us and signed up. A quick question, so we can know where to market a little more, how did you find the site?

Maybe in your profile you could give us some more information about yourself. When were you certified? How many dives do you have logged? Just little things like that and anything else you would like to share.

Thanks for finding us and signing up, tell all of your diving buddies about us!

Craig,

21' foot boat. Very nice. Spear fishing? I can'twait to try that out. Hell, I'm still looking forward to diving the rigs.

Anything to help out, just continue coming here and most of all, tell other divers. Even if they aren't in Mississippi, that's fine. Just as long as they know other Mississippi divers and pass our name along. I'm glad you found us, I'm sure it's going to be a "word of mouth" for a little while. We are submitting to Google and the other bigger search engines, we just know it's going to be awhile before others find us.

Also, if you happen to know anyone at Dive Ops, mention MSscuba.com and see if you can get then to join us. The more we have, the better it is for all of us.

Thanks again and hope to meet you soon too,

Michael

Also, if you have any site suggestions, anything you want to see added, or removed. Please let us know. We'll try to get the site setup so it's more eye appealing or just easier to navigate if need be.

Later,

Michael

Sounds like you have a pretty stable boat there, can't wait for us all to hookup some time for a few dives!  Just so you know, Michael and I were just recently certified on 06/25/2006.  We were trained PADI but ended up getting a referral and finishing out with SSI.  But from what I hear, most people would rather dive with a newbie rather than someone that's been certified for 5 years but hasn't dove in 1-2+ years.  We are very fresh on our skills, plus if we aren't able to dive, we rent a tank and hop in our buddy Neals pool.  Actually, Neal has been certified for I would say 5 years, and from what Michael tells me is an awesome diver, he even has multiple night dives under his belt (if that matters to you at all).

I'm simply telling you all of this so you aren't disappointed in our lack of dive experience when we all dive together.  (talking about Mike and myself)  We are all very open minded and like to plan our dive, dive our plan.  We hope to see more of you around here, and thanks for the dive report!

FYI, we are in the process of contacting MS dive shops and Florida dive shops to see what trips they have planned.  We are going to do one of 2 things, post them in the forum here, or put up a calendar with the info on it. We think having a localized site for dive trips would be great for MS divers!  Either way, we'll put the news on the frontpage for all to see!

I'm not sure what expenses Craig has along with his boat, but I'm sure all it would cost you is gas $$ to get to the coast, whatever rentals you would need, and whatever Craig wants $$ for (I'm guessing help with gas).

Just PM Craig and you may be suprised, he seems like a real nice guy.  We haven't dove with him yet, but hope to real soon.

As a matter of fact, myself and a couple of friends are heading to Pensacola and camping at the state park, Craig may show up there, his plans aren't firm as of yet. =)
