What's going on everyone?  Frank sent me to this site, glad he did, just wish I knew about it earlier!  I'm stationed at Keesler here on the coast, been here about 3 years now.  Getting ready to leave the Navy and move back to Louisiana, but fear not, I'll be close! I've been to Ginnie, Devil's Den, Key Largo, and am going to Pensacola the first week in August.  Might do the O but $150's a bit high IMHO and my buddies that are going are both pretty new divers.  Might have to sneak away and do it though, i know I'll regret it if I don't!  The Spiegel Grove and Duane were pretty awesome, so I'm sure the O will be no different.  Wrecks are my favorite dives by far.  I have a boat I've been itchin to take to the rigs, but no dive buddies local!  Looks like that will change now!  I Definitely plan on diving the rigs when I move back to LA as well.  Hope to make some new friends here!

Welcome to the board!

Glad you made it!  Wink  So moving back home eh?  Doesn't mean you can't still drive to FL!

So what kind of boat do you have?  If it's sea worthy,  I would be willing to go out with you on it!

I was supposed to go to Key Largo back a couple of months ago but the trip was canceled, I was bummed, but 2 days later something came up and I had to spend my $$ that I would have used for the trip.  Then, I found out that the weekend was blown out afterwards.. someone was looking after me!

Didn't think this was THAT kind of club!  Not that there's anything wrong with that, of course!  Ha!

"Latitude Adjustment" is my 1994 20 foot cuddy cabin Bayliner.  Never dove from her, but fish a lot.  Yes, she's seaworthy, to answer your question, although it seems i always break something on the way back in!  Every boat owner knows that BOAT is really an acronym..... Break Out Another Thousand!  Went out fishing on the south end of horn island sunday, caught just a couple.  I managed to catch a massive sunburn, with the sunglass-induced raccoon eyes thrown in for free.  We did see TONS of what I think were cownose stingrays about 2-3 feet across, lots of dolphins, and a 4-5 foot spinner shark gave us some acrobatics as well.
