Lake Norfolk Arkansas Dive report from June 9 and 10, 2007
« on: June 11, 2007, 03:00:04 PM »
We took a couple of BOW divers to Lake Norfolk at Jordan Arkansas the weekend of June 9 and 10.  We dove from a pontoon boat leased from Jordan Marina for, I think, $150 for a full day.  The marina has a map with the dive sites marked and they can provide GPS coordinates for them.  Sites include a bulldozer left over from the lake building, school bus, dynamite shack etc.  Visibility was pretty poor down to around 5 feet and the first thermocline was at 28 feet.  Surface temp was 79, 1st thermocline 70 and second thermocline at 40 63 and it was 53 from 60 to 70 feet which with a 3mm, was all I could stand for a few minutes.  They do allow spearfishing and had a tournament this weekend.  Carry dive flags with you as there is alot of boat and jet ski traffic.  Ok dive but a long drive for most on the board.  Would be closer to go to the coast I would think
