Extreme Noob from Tupelo
« on: June 07, 2007, 12:03:27 AM »
Hey guys, my name is Chris and I just found another expensive hobby. I'm 22 and reside in Tupelo (actually Guntown), MS. My girlfriend and I just got open water certified and can't wait get wet! Hopefully we can meet up with some of you and learn a few things. Maybe find some decent (if any) dive spots close to me.  :-\

Here's a little about my self: I love music. I play drums for this band http://www.myspace.com/1817music. I'm an avid cigar smoker and I work in a sign shop. That about sums me up.

Welcome to the board Chris!  Glad to see you here :D

Yeah, Michael and myself will check out this local (to us anyway) dive location and keep you guys posted on whether or not it is even worth it.

I may need a dive buddy in the near future, since Michael won't be able to dive (new kid coming within the next couple of weeks)

I will (maybe) be down in the Gulf Shore area for a week at the end of July. Wife, my son and I are thinking about getting a condo there. I'll do a few dives but, I know I'll want to spend a lot of time with Tanner. :)

Honestly I think the closest location between the two of us would be Pelham, AL.  Although there are several more quarries in Alabama we can dive, you just have to know the right people!  And it just so happens, that we do ;D
