Hey John,

Glad to see that you made it. Hopefully we all can meet up sometime in the next few months and go diving. Might be awhile for myself though. The boss lady and I are having a baby boy soon. If you have any kids, you know what I'm going through. :)

I hope to meet you soon.

Louis,

Were you at Pelham Sunday? Frank was there although, he had to call the dives all day due to his ear. Maybe you two crossed each other.

That's great Louie! I just got back from the river today. We have been out there since Monday(07-02).  So now you ready to go to Destin i guess?  I'll try to come by and see you Monday.

John....this is a dive report posted on scubaboard from the Destin jetties last weekend......Looks like a pretty good dive spot!!

"Destin Jetties FL Dive Report 07/06

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dove the jetties last friday. We were in the water at about 9 am for our first dive. Visibility was at 40-50 ft, water was very comfortable at 81+ degrees. We saw lots of wrasse, grouper, flounder, angels, damsels, filefish, and others. At the end of our second dive an 8 foot manta swam by to get a peek at us. This was my first saltwater dive since certification, and I thought it was rather great. Can't wait for more."

That's the first time I've ever heard of a manta making an appearance at the Destin jetties :)

Oh I don't doubt they saw one..  Just haven't heard of anyone seeing one at the Destin jetties is all :)

I've been at the jetties several times, am just always too late to catch the tide :(

The tide is not in our favor for diving the jetties. 19th-24th high tide is like 0430hrs-0600hrs.
