I just saw a report out of Destin, Oil within 10miles of the beaches. Theres a group going out to the Oriskany this weekend, maybe they can post up conditions and what boats are still running.

this weekend's boat trip to the "O" is canceled due to oil. dalton , which is my captain in pensacola, had a report tues from a group that was 15 miles out. no oil on surface but when they surfaced the had a coating of oil. mainly from dispersants i think. so diving pensacola is extremely sketchey.

I'm going to be in Destin, Fl June 19th through June 24. As of this morning, ScubaTech is still doing dive charters. I'm taking my gear just in case, If anybody is going to be in the area at that time, and the boats are still going, please join me.

I've been watching ScubaTech's web site everyday. They were still diving in Destin yesterday but there boats are involved with the clean up today. Oh well. I may try to get my Nitrox Certification while I'm there if nothing else.
