Well, I had a great dive lined up this morning with Emerald Coast Scuba. Seems a group from Meterie, La had booked a 3 tank dive and had room for a few more. 30 minutes before cast off with tanks loaded on the boat, the group from La. decided to go fishing instead. Bummer!
I have another dive lined up for Wednesday, and am looking for one for Tuesday. As best as I can tell they're still diving and fishing in Destin, the trouble is finding a boat that hasn't been leased to BP.

Got up at 5:30 this morning and drove to Panama City for a dive I had lined up for Tuesday morning. When I got there I was told that the Captain had called and cancelled the trip "due to oil". Just around the corner was Divers Den so I went there and was told that there boat was out of the water but they would be diving Fri, Sat, and Sun. I still have a dive scheduled for Wednesday, We'll let you know.

Finally got to dive this morning. Conditions were great. We first dove what passes for a reef here in destin, 85 feet, 68 degrees, not much wildlife except for a ramore that I had to fight off. Second dive was on the middle stack of the bridge rubble. 58 ft, 72 degrees. saw the usual scattering of wildlife and a barracuda that got a little too close for comfort. I finally reached out and touched him and he left.
The good news is I've been here for five days and still have seen no oil. Not on the beach, not on the dive. The Aquanaut is the only dive boat in Destin still diving, and the crew from Emerald Coast diving were very appreciative of the divers who supported them.
