Hi everyone, I just got certified not too long ago by Jack at Deep South Divers of Mobile and have been doing mostly boat dives with my brother and two nephews, they have been certified for a couple years now.

I use a SeaQuest Pro QD BC, Titan LX regs, an Aqua Lung octo and a Suunto Gekko 'puter.

Every dive we do revolves around getting food, the larger the chunk o' meat we can stab, the better Grin.  We usually launch from Dauphin Island and go to either oil rigs or reefs.  The farthest we've been out is 60 miles, that was due south of the east end of Dauphin Island and was in 280' of water, we were about 5 miles from the shelf.

I also like to dive for crabs and have been diving the bridge pilings at Perdido Pass (orange beach, AL) which is a bit of a drive, if anyone knows of a place closer and don't mind sharing...I'm all ears.
